L.C Français – Overview of Course. The following topics will be covered in depth throughout the course of the year. 
Please note our resident teacher is a state examiner for the leaving Cert exams with many years experience 

• Overview of Course- Guidance on Exam paper layout, timing and what’s expected in each area.
• Les Compréhensions – An in depth look into the Key Vocabulaire that are associated with the comprehension part of the exam and how best to approach the questions.

• Les Compréhensions Auditives – Key Vocabulaire and approach to questions

• Le Journal Intime – H1 Sample phrases / & H1 Sample diaries given with useful phrases that can be used in other aspects of the course

• Les récits – sample vocab to be used in the narrative question and sample narratives
• La Production écrite – Sample answers and how to achieve a top score
• La Grammaire – in depth work on the  main tenses that are essential for the Leaving Cert and to achieve a top grade.

• L’Épreuve Orale- detailed oral notes and practice speaking the language.

       There will also be a big emphasis on the marking scheme for the Oral exam and how it is marked by the oral examiner. Top tips given on how to ensure top marks.

Students will also be given access to the State Exams Commission ( SEC) samples of students work who got the top grade from past year’s.

Full comprehensive notes and study materials will be given after each topic to each student. Please allow for revision classes at the end of term and how to best approach exam style questions relating to the topics covered.
